Over £4500 presented to Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance

Newark Golf Club – Friday 28th December 2018
Newark Golf Club aimed high to raise vital funds to support the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. In 2018 Club Captain – Kevin Ferguson and Ladies’ Captain – Josie Wake, joined forces, along with the Members, to raise the amount of £4,510.98 to help keep The Big Yellow Bird doing its vital work.

To raise the wonderful amount, Newark Golf Club held 2 charity days, raffles & donated profit from the sale of refreshments on competition days. The cheque was presented to Phil Holmes, a volunteer with The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance Charitable Trust, who explained to the packed Clubhouse that The Air Ambulance is ever more needed and used. There is now a bigger helicopter with more equipment and medical staff on board, able to fly 24/7. Many thanks to all the Members of Newark Golf Club and our visitors who supported our fundraising for the Air Ambulance.
