“I've the great pleasure of playing this lovely course & enjoying its wonderful clubhouse for the first time. I was fortunate to learn the game to a good standard at Royal St George's. So, although Appleby is an inland course, I can really appreciate its links style nature. The course is a challenging but very fair test. Arguably, the main problem is to avoid being distracted by the stunning scenery that exists on every hole. I did take some photos with my Pixel mobile phone during the round and you can see these below It is very clear why this fantastic course is placed on the Top 100 list. I'm sure that its position there is a certainty in the future. Visit very soon I say.”

“1st time playing. Party of 12. Handicaps between +5 & 20. Really lovely course with some quirky, interesting holes, challenging par 3s, not one par 5 but some tough par 4s & greens were true & fast. Really friendly atmosphere & welcoming staff. In Top 100 courses so make a day of it. Links and heathered course with sheep so some electric wires around greens but its all part of the ambience of the course. Will go back again as all enjoyed the day.”

“Really enjoyed the course and so playable despite a strong wind. Clubhouse and staff were really friendly and welcoming. Had a superb day at a senior golf open event”
