Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club, Borth, United Kingdom
Club overview
Set in a spectacular location on the sweep of Cardigan Bay Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club was established in 1885 and has a strong claim to be the oldest course in Wales. This traditional links course which was redesigned by Harry S Colt in 1945 provides a great test of golf all year round as one would expect of a Golf Union of Wales championship venue.
The golf course is maintained to a very high standard for members, visitors and societies. A round of golf at Borth and Ynyslas is a truly memorable experience and many visitors consider the course unique among the other fine links courses in Wales.
After playing, golfers can sit back and relax in the spacious modern clubhouse where full bar and catering facilities are available.

“Great day on a challenging links course. Riveted pothole bunkers await stray shots. Greens in very good condition. Clubhouse staff friendly and welcoming. Will return”
“Beautiful sandy beach, blue sea and sand dunes. I Iove this place! My favourite part is the fact you can walk far to find a secluded spot. Less noise and more privacy. Clean toilets too.”
“Me and my parents had a Sunday lunch here yesterday and was very impressed. We turned up at 12 and they squeezed us in with no booking and left before the reserved booking came. The staff were lovely and welcoming which was so nice to see. The meal we had was a 2 course and I have to say the roast beef meal was perfect and really enjoyed it. The dessert we had was the strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake with ice cream. The cheesecake I have to admit was odd and looked and tasted like a splodge and certainly not was what I expected but I'm not complaining at all as still was nice. They came to ask if our meal was OK and also very relaxed place. The food was extremely good value and would I definitely come again and recommend it ? Yes definitely 100%. Really good meal and happy 😊”
