“We played both courses at Cabot Highlands over two days, and the place went straight into my top three in Scotland. I don’t say that lightly, and I’ve played most of the courses that get mentioned in that conversation. Castle Stuart is the outstanding one. It sits along the water with landscaping that looks like it was always there, no seams, no faults, nothing manufactured about it. We played late in the evening in perfect conditions and I spent half the round unable to get my head around how good it looked. The par 3s are the best set I’ve come across anywhere. Every one of them different, every one framed by the sea or the land in a way that makes you stop before you pull a club. Old Petty has its own character and it’s the easier of the two, but I’d never call it the lesser one. Different rhythm, different feel, and the par 3s stand out there as well. Playing both back to back over two days is the right way to do it. Both courses ask for commitment. You cannot half-hit a shot here and expect to get away with it. And if you take your golf seriously, this is a place decided by your approach play. That’s where the rounds are won and lost. The hospitality matched the golf, which is rarer than it should be. Personal, down to earth, genuinely welcoming, and never once did the team act like our business was a given. You could see it in everyone we dealt with over the two days. I’ll be back, and not only for the courses. The team is a large part of why.”

“Two very nice courses only spoiled by a few greens have an issue on the castle Stewart course. The first part 3 in particular. Food was great especially the highland fries. The New course is a nice track with a great variety of holes. Will be back if they make it a dair rate for the Scottish golfer. Great experience.”
