“Some wonderful views from this golf course! Probably my favorite one I ever visited for the natural views. You can see some fantastic perspectives of the nearby water and the lush green environment probably any time of year. Recommend.”
“Having played golf regularly in Scotland for over 35 years, for some reason I had never ventured down the East Lothian coast to play Dunbar GC. So glad I did this May of 2026! Quite simply, it's one of those courses you could play every day for the rest of your life and never tire of it! There are beautiful sea view on every hole, a classic down and back links design, ancient stone walls, excellent conditioning and plenty of fun to be had for everyone. The new clubhouse (under construction 2026) is going to be among the best in Scotland too! What a great golf experience - play it!”
“My brother played his first links round at Dunbar in March. I couldn't have picked a better place to show him what this kind of golf feels like. The fairways are wide and the ball runs forever. You hit what you think is a safe approach and watch it bounce twice, skip forward, and end up somewhere you hadn't considered. My brother looked at me after his first tee shot like something had been explained to him that nobody had put into words before. Links golf does that. You don't learn it, you feel it under your feet. On the 3rd, I hit an 8-iron that came off the middle of the face with that sound. Golfers know the one. Pure compression, no vibration, just flight. It flew straight over the pin and buried in the back bunker. Way too much club. I stood there grinning. You chase that strike your whole golfing life and when it arrives, where the ball ends up is beside the point. The ocean runs along the course and you forget it's there until you look up between shots and realise you've been walking next to it for an hour. Nobody rushed us. Every group we crossed paths with had a nod or a word. Dunbar won't intimidate you. It won't ask you to hit shots you don't have. It gives you space, gives you bounce, gives you the sea, and lets you play. My brother walked off 18 a links golfer. He just doesn't know it yet.”
