“It was a truly enjoyable day. We were very warm welcomed by the people in the ProShop. Ross, the golf manager took some time to tell us about the rich history of the course as well as the dos and don’ts on the course, i.e. blind holes bells… The course itself is truly an experience. Super undulated fairways which are leading to interesting bounces sometimes. Fairways and Greens are in really great shape. There is not one boring hole. After the round we were asked how we liked it. Great customer experience. We concluded a great golfing day with a delicious dinner in the attached restaurant. The linguine with scampi in white wine sauce and the vanilla panacotta with raspberries were really good and the price is reasonable. I strongly recommend a visit!”

“A hot and sunny July day: What a beautiful and unique course this is, and in super condition! Pure history. Fabulous turf to play off. Greens are a great test. Each hole is visually lovely and takes you back to the old heydays of golf. Proper golf for us mere club players! Lovely staff at the 19th. And a special thumbs up to Ross for making me feel so welcome to be a part of this fabulous golf course for just a visitor round!! Thank you...and, if you haven't played this course: DO SO!”

“We were having our annual 4 day golf outing last weekend, stayed at Piperdam(Dundee) and played various courses nearby-ish( Balcomie Links, Craigtoun ( old Dukes course), and Piperdam itself. All very good courses. But to break up the individual competition we booked in for the Texas scramble at Forfar, as it co-incided with the dates we were playing. Only 30 mins away from Piperdam and have to say it was an inspired choice. Staff in the pro shop were superb, real gentlemen and clearly loved the club and course. The course itself was fantastic, all of our four-ball commented afterwards that this was the best course we had played over the weekend. Layout was great, greens were true and just a really enjoyable round of golf. Word of warning though, don’t make the same mistake that we did at the pat 3 16th. With two of us left to complete our 4 drives, we both managed to play to the wrong green! I played an absolute worldly, bent one round the overhanging tree to 10 feet, and then saw another group walking up to the same green from a different angle. Oops! We still made par though! Great course. We’ll definitely be back again.”
