“Cruit Island Golf Club provided me and my 2 buddies the most fantastic golf experience ever. From the first impression seeing the course driving in to leaving it everything was wonderful. I cannot say enough about how they went well above the call to accommodate us the morning of Aug 26th. Fantastic people. And the course, just WOW !!! And to top off our experience the ham and cheese toastie was the best thing we had in Ireland during our trip. Thanks so much for a life changing experience”

“Cruit Island Golf Club is not interested in your handicap, your rangefinder, your GPS watch, or your inflated opinion of your own golfing abilities. It exists for one purpose: to humble you in one of the most spectacular settings on Earth. As an American playing Cruit Island for the first time, I spent the opening holes in a state of cheerful confusion. I wasn't entirely sure where some of the holes went. Sometimes the next fairway appeared to be hiding behind a dune. Sometimes the green looked like it had been dropped from a helicopter onto the edge of the Atlantic. Several times I stood on a tee convinced there had to be a better line, only to discover that the golf course knew exactly what it was doing and I most certainly did not. And that's the beauty of it. This isn't manufactured resort golf where every bunker politely announces itself from 300 yards away. Cruit asks questions first and offers answers later. You stop trying to overpower the place and start trusting your eyes, your imagination, and occasionally the local member smiling quietly as another visitor sends a golf ball toward Scotland. Every hole feels like an adventure. The routing tumbles naturally across rocky ground, through dunes, over blind rises, and alongside the crashing Atlantic in a way that feels completely untamed. You don't simply play Cruit Island. You explore it. The views are almost unfair. The ocean seems to appear from every angle, waves hammering ancient rock while the wind constantly renegotiates whatever plan you had five seconds earlier. Standing on some of these tees feels less like preparing to hit a golf shot and more like being handed a front-row seat to one of nature's greatest performances. By the end of the round I still couldn't confidently tell you where every hole was supposed to go. What I can tell you is that I couldn't stop smiling. The confusion becomes part of the experience, and before long you realize you're playing golf the way it was meant to be played—with curiosity, creativity, laughter, and just a touch of panic. Five stars. Cruit Island doesn't just test your golf game. It kidnaps your expectations, throws them into the Atlantic, and sends you home wondering why every other golf course suddenly feels just a little too civilized.”

“Do not trifle with this little 9x2 links course - it deserves respect! Positives: 1. whatever criticism long hitters may have of this relatively short course is more than equalised by tricky doglegs, fast greens and the wind. Mein Gott, the wind!!! 2. the stupendous views of the rocky coast. What was also interesting was watching small beaches which were dry when we started play, getting submerged as we completed our 4 hour round; 3. pace of play was good. Flights were staggered at intervals which avoided a rushed game; 4. green fees and manual carts were priced sensibly for all of the above. Negatives? Absolutely NONE! I’d return in a flash for another round or two the next time I’m in Ireland.”
