“A really nice feel to the whole club. A well stocked proshop, friendly starter and nice bar area with a good selection of food options. The course was great from the off with an obvious links feel, but also very different holes to keep you on your toes with good bunkering, testing water hazards, dog legs etc. The course condition was also fantastic, but look out for the rough. Which was brutal in parts.”

“What an outstanding place! We received the warmest of welcomes at Barassie golf club. Everyone from the pro shop staff, clubhouse staff and members were really friendly. The course was in great condition (end of April) and was a fair test of golf. If you're visiting the area to play some of the more well known courses I highly recommend a visit as it will probably be your favourite (certainly was mine) when it's time to leave, all for a significant reduction in green fees compared to others in the area. Food and drinks in the clubhouse were very reasonable and certainly matched the quality of the course. Thanks for you hospitality. Can't wait for my next visit here. Diolch.”

“Decent course which offers half links and heathland holes. Course layout was a challenge finding our way around as we’d not played before but there was a lot of work being done at the time we played in 2023. Would defo play again next time I’m up in Troon.”
