Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Club, Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Club overview
Middlesbrough Golf Centre has been home to excellent golf for over 30 years. Cocooned in its own scenic environment the fantastic 18 hole parkland golf course is set in 160 acres within south Middlesbrough and extends over 6,330 yards. The course includes a nine hole pitch and putt course that is ideal for new and experienced golfers to hone their skills as well as a floodlit driving range. A new Footgolf course is open for play from April 14 2017 so all the family can enjoy the UK’s newest craze!
GREAT NEWS
The extensive drainage work our course manager and his team have undertaken has allowed the course to be open longer over the winter months. This work will continue through 2017 and put us in a strong position by the time autumn 2017 arrives. The buggy path will also be extended in late 2017, to cover all 18 holes allowing buggies to be used throughout the year.
MORE GREAT NEWS
A further investment in golf course machinery will take place in April 2017 as well as increasing the greens team. We are also investing in the pro shop, driving range, pitch and putt and the addition of Footgolf to the facility. Middlesbrough Golf Centre is fast becoming one of the top golf facilities in the North!
GOLF ACADEMY
The Middlesbrough Golf Centre Academy will launch in April 2017. This will be driven by a new team of professional staff headed up by local lad Rob Lilley ably assisted by Craig Donaldson, David Price and Darren Grey. The academy will look to increase participation in Juniors and ladies while offering top class coaching for golfers of all abilities, embracing new technology and equipment.
THE PRO SHOP
Following the refurbishment of the pro shop (Completed Early April 2017) this will be the point of contact for all golfers. The shop will hold extensive stock from the leading brands in golf equipment and clothing. It will offer a club repairs service and you will have expert advice on hand to answer all your questions. A golf simulator will be installed allowing you to play the worlds top courses and also take part in long drive and ‘nearest the pin’ challenges. The simulator will be available to hire and be enjoyed over a cold beer with your friends.
