Nefyn & District Golf Club

Nefyn & District Golf Club, Pwllheli, United Kingdom

Club overview

Perfectly situated on the spectacular northern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula, our 27 hole layout consists of an 18 hole Championship Course, which not only offers golfers a rich variety of breath-taking views and scenery, but also a constantly changing set of challenges which require, if at all possible, the golfers full attention.

In addition, you can also choose to play our world famous ‘Point’ which offers 9 holes of breath-taking golf along the thin stretch of land that encroaches out into the Irish Sea. During allocated tee times, the ‘Point’ can be played as an 18 hole course when paired with the Championship Course’s front nine or as part of a 27 hole package.

“Nefyn was the 4th course on our golf tour of Wales. The championship 18 was so much fun. It was not as difficult as some of other courses we played because the fairways are wider and there is less heather. We loved it. The "Old Nine" was an absolute blast as an E nine. It is a little quirky but we loved it. The views throughout the 27 holes at Nefyn were simply unbelievable. I recommend Nefyn highly. The clubhouse experience was great too. We were made to feel extremely welcome.”

“Outstanding golf course with views to match. Lots of interesting holes, good challenge, and amazing condition. Very friendly members and clubhouse great - sitting on the vast patio in good weather was a bonus.”

“Have wanted to play Nefyn for years and it didn't disappoint. Warm welcome from all the staff, cracking views from the clubhouse and a glimpse of what is to come. The main course has some excellent holes, particularly the early stretch along the coast. Everyone talks about the peninsula 9 and the introduction to it is a crazy short par 4 to a massively elevated green. After that the views are incredible as you head out to the coastguard hut on the point. We played in winds gusting up to 40mph, which made some holes a little tricky... Make sure to stop off for a drink at the pub down by the sea before the final 3 holes - taking your golf clubs onto a beach is a unique experience.”
