Pleasington Golf Club

Pleasington Golf Club, Blackburn, United Kingdom

About the club

The golf course is simply stunning, set in 142 acres of picturesque countryside in the rural village of Pleasington.Originally designed by George Lowe Snr and later extended by Sandy Herd the layout offers the golfer a unique challenge with a wonderful variety of holes. The 12 holes on the South side of the railway are set in mature parkland whilst the 6 on the North side offer a complete contrast with natural heathland comprising heather and wonderful turf to play off. All the greens have been extensively drained and provide year round playability.

The first hole is a taste of things to come in your round. at under 400 yards it may seem an innocuous start, but you must be down the left side to give yourself a line to the green, the second shot plays longer than expected due to the subtle rise in the ground up to the green and the fact that you will be playing into the prevailing breeze.

“We played last Wednesday 15th July 2026 and the experience we received was second to none. The warm and friendly welcome from Debs and pro shop was superb and we also received an complimentary ball mark which was a lovely touch The course was in fantastic condition and a pleasure to play all finished off with some great food and a pint. I can highly recommend this club and we will be coming back Jim”

“Great course, great reception, food, and assistants. Thanks Debs. A challenging course in places, really need to know your way around. We had a good day despite periods of rain. We had a society deal but think the normal price is a little expensive, which normally would be cost prohibitive for me. Normal price £90.”
