“What an unforgettable day at Royal North Devon Golf Club! This was without doubt one of the best and most memorable rounds of golf I have ever played. The course is absolutely spectacular – wild, natural, full of character and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It feels completely different from so many modern golf courses, and that is exactly what makes Royal North Devon so special. You can feel the history of the game everywhere. But what really made this day exceptional was Dave, my caddie. He was so much more than someone carrying a bag and giving advice around the course. Dave is simply a fantastic person. He shared stories about the history of the club, helped me understand the course and made the entire round incredibly enjoyable. He even showed me a putting grip that I had never used before – and it immediately became my new favourite. An incredible golf course, stunning nature, fascinating history and a truly memorable person to share the round with. Thank you, Royal North Devon – and especially thank you, Dave, for an absolutely fantastic day. I will remember this round for a very long time and would come back in a heartbeat.”
