About the club
Here at St Annes Old Links, we are justly proud of our 6941 yard Par 72 Championship links course and welcome the opportunity to share it with golfers from around the world.
Founded in 1901, St Annes Old Links is another of the fine championship links of England’s north west coast and we recently hosted the Local Final Qualifying for The Open in July 2012 held at nearby Royal Lytham & St Annes and the Ladies' Golf Union Girl’s Home International Matches in August 2013. Other forthcoming major events include the Boys Home Internationals Aug 7-10 2017.
The Old Links has been voted in "Great Britain & Ireland's Top 100 Links 2015 by National Club Golfer January 2015 isssue; in June 2013 issue Golf World's "Top 100 Golf Courses in England 2013" and in National Club Golfer's December 2013 issue "Britain's Best 100 Courses under £100". Our signature 9th hole was voted by Golf World in the May 2010 issue as the Top 9th Hole in Great Britain and Ireland. The great Bobby Jones is quoted as saying "it's difficult to see how you could improve on this". Enough said!
The true links nature of this Lancashire golf course brings golfing enthusiasts from all four corners of the UK and around the world. Golfers of all levels will be attracted to this flat but demanding course which is both traditional and historic and where the greens are renowned for speed, slickness and running true. Like all great links, the course is designed to test your patience and resilience so whether you are a budding professional or an enthusiastic beginner, we look forward to your visit.
