HotelPlanner Tour’s end-of-season showpiece just weeks away at Mallorca giant
For the fifth time in seven years, HotelPlanner Tour dreams will be granted and crushed at Club de Golf Alcanada when the Rolex Grand Final returns to Mallorca later this month.
From October 30 to November 2, the top 45 players on the tour’s Road to Mallorca rankings will battle it out on Robert Trent Jones Jnr.’s modern classic course, faced with the daunting knowledge that only the top 20 players and ties come Sunday evening will be rewarded with life-changing DP World Tour cards.

The bar for HotelPlanner Tour golfers who have gone on to achieve great things has been set remarkably high: graduates from recent years include Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tyrell Hatton, Nicolai and Rasmus Højgaard, Robert MacIntyre and Justin Rose, all of whom have won the Ryder Cup with Team Europe in the last three years.
High-flying Marco Penge also won this event at Alcanada just two years ago, further underlining the quality that history suggests could be in the field for the upcoming competition.
Not only could each player’s performance at Alcanada could play a decisive role in their ambitions of top-level golf, but those who succeed will also be eligible for the DP World Tour’s Earnings Assurance Programme, guaranteeing them minimum earnings of $150,000 for the 2026 season if they play in 15 or more events.
Additionally, the top five graduates will benefit from the John Jacobs Bursary, introduced in 2021 to provide newly promoted players with the strongest possible platform for their first season on the European Tour Group’s top tier.
All the action from the Rolex Grand Final can be followed live on Sky Sports Golf for a total of six hours on each of the four days.
The details
For the first time, the G4D Tour Series Finale @ Rolex Grand Final – the climax of Europe’s premier tour for golfers with disabilities – will take place at the same venue and on the same week as the Rolex Grand Final, overlapping with the HotelPlanner Tour showstopper, in an exciting development announced earlier in October.
Kristoff Both, director at Club de Golf Alcanada, said: “To host this all-important event at the end of the HotelPlanner Tour season is as much of an honour for us as ever, and a highlight of the calendar every year at Alcanada.
“Even though this is our fifth time hosting, our enthusiasm is as strong as ever for this year’s event and we look forward to watching stars of the future, comeback stories and all the other incredible drama that makes this – in our opinion – one of the most exciting and important tournaments in European golf.”
Hopefuls will have to be at the top of their game to be in with a chance of winning one of those precious DP World Tour cards, with Trent Jones Jnr.’s course – when set up in tournament conditions – renowned as a highly demanding test for even the most skilled golfers.
His acclaimed layout weaves through undulating Mallorca countryside, offering oft-photographed views throughout of the eponymous island and lighthouse, as well as the sapphire Mediterranean and the rest of the island’s coastline.
When not hosting prestigious events, Club de Golf Alcanada welcomes members and guests of all ability levels throughout the year thanks to a wide variety of tee options. The clubhouse terrace, which boasts exceptional views that parallel those of the golf course, hosts golfers for expertly cooked Mediterranean meals on a daily basis.
