Alcanada was confirmed as host of the Rolex Grand Final supported by The R&A in February, having previously hosted the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by the R&A four times from 2019 – 2024.
Widely regarded as one of Spain’s finest golf courses, the Robert Trent Jones Jnr layout is both a thrilling test of golf and a visually stunning journey, winding down toward the coast where the eponymous lighthouse – and, beyond, the vast Mediterranean Sea – looms large.
Now, it has been selected to stage the finale of a dramatic season that began in November 2024 ISPS HANDA All Abilities Australian Championship. The seven-event schedule has since taken players to stunning venues in England, Ireland and France ahead of what promises to be an unforgettable finale
The details
At this year’s G4D Tour Series Finale, six players will compete in the Gross competition as four battle it out in the Net event. The tour was launched in 2022 in partnership with EDGA (European Disabled Golf Association) and is open to both men and women.
Kristoff Both, director at Club de Golf Alcanada, said: “It’s an honour and very exciting to welcome the G4D Tour for the first time.
“We are proud to be a venue where the world’s best come and compete for prestigious honours, so it was an easy decision to work with EDGA to bring this tournament to Mallorca.”
For more than two decades, Club de Golf Alcanada has been one of the crown jewels of golf across the Balearic Islands. A challenging but fair course is complemented by a historic clubhouse and terraced restaurant offering magnificent views out to sea.
