The award recognises Hilton Vilamoura’s standout wellness offering, centred on 7 Seven Spa, Portugal's largest spa. Spanning 2,700m², the venue features 14 treatment rooms, including a private VIP suite, as well as an indoor thermal pool, a hydrotherapy circuit, a Turkish bath, saunas, experience showers and a tranquil zen garden. Its treatment menu ranges from hammam rituals and holistic therapies to a dedicated golf massage.
Set within five acres of landscaped gardens beside the Pinhal Vilamoura golf course, the Biosphere-certified five-star resort also features Moorish-inspired architecture, six outdoor pools with cascading waterfalls and 176 rooms and suites, with the beach and Vilamoura Marina a short complimentary shuttle ride away. The award is the latest in a long line of honours for the resort, which was named Portugal's Leading Resort at the World Travel Awards for eight consecutive years.
Claudia Fernandes, Spa Manager at 7 Seven Spa, Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa, said: "This award means so much to everyone at 7 Seven Spa. Our therapists and spa team put real care into every treatment, and our aim has always been for guests to leave feeling genuinely restored, not just relaxed. To have that recognised alongside some of Europe's finest hotels is a wonderful moment for all of us."
The details
The award comes at a time of significant change for Vilamoura. Since taking over the management of the hotel in 2023, DETAILS – Hospitality, Sports & Leisure has continued to enhance one of Europe's most exciting premium lifestyle destinations, managing a growing portfolio of hotels, championship golf courses and world-class sporting venues.
Recent milestones include significant investment across Vilamoura's five golf courses and Portugal's largest marina, the ongoing development of Portugal's largest equestrian centre, and the arrival of the PGA Tour Champions' Portugal Invitational in 2026.
Francisco Moser, Co-CEO of DETAILS, said:"This recognition is a proud moment not only for Hilton Vilamoura, but for Vilamoura as a whole. Since we took on the management of the resort, we've worked hand in hand with the hotel team, investing in the guest experience, refining our wellness offering and adapting our approach as we've grown together. To see that shared work recognised on a European stage is hugely rewarding.
"Vilamoura is a special place, and we're excited that more travellers are choosing it for exactly the kind of experience this award celebrates. Our congratulations go to Claudia and the whole team."
