Second successive hosting underlines resort’s growing reputation as early-season host
INFINITUM has further demonstrated its credentials as an elite tournament venue after successfully hosting the 2026 ECCO Tour Spring Series, marking a triumphant return of the Danish-based development tour to the Costa Dorada.
Building on the momentum of last year’s inaugural visit, the 2026 edition saw more than 150 professional golfers and amateurs descend on the award-winning resort across 12 days of high-quality competition, reinforcing INFINITUM’s position as one of Europe’s most trusted stages for emerging talent.

The series began with the ECCO Spanish Masters (February 23–25), where Martin Simonsen claimed the title following a final day 11 under par. Attention then turned to the INFINITUM Championship (February 27–March 1), won by Mats Ege, before the curtain fell on the ECCO INFINITUM Series Final (March 3–5), where Lauri Ruuska lifted the trophy with a three-shot victory.
Across the three events, players faced a varied and demanding test across INFINITUM’s acclaimed Lakes course – enhanced following its recent upgrade – alongside the composite layout featuring the renovated Hills back nine and the Ruins.
The return of the ECCO Tour for a second consecutive year highlights the strength of the partnership and the growing confidence in INFINITUM’s ability to deliver world-class tournament conditions early in the season.
