The network includes some of the most prestigious golf and lifestyle resorts in Europe, the Middle East and south-east Asia, with many of the venues home to courses which consistently feature prominently in international rankings. European Tour Destinations’ venues also host an array of prestigious tournaments including the Ryder Cup and DP World Tour Championship.
Javier Illán, president of Millenium Hospitality, said: “It’s an honour to be one of only three European Tour Destinations in Spain.
The details
“This will give us a stamp of tournament quality that will give golfers the confidence and reassurance in the level and calibre of our on and off-course facilities – a key objective as part of our investment and elevation to one of Europe’s best luxury golf destinations.”
Ian Knox, head of European Tour Destinations, said: “We’re delighted that La Hacienda is joining our portfolio of world-class venues and we’re excited to see what the future holds for the resort.
“The redesigned course, combined with the exceptional facilities and accommodation opening over the next couple of years in a key golfing region in Spain, will certainly help cement La Hacienda's place on the global golf map and an important new addition to our network.”
Located in the Cadiz municipality of San Roque, close to Sotogrande, La Hacienda is situated on the beachfront offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa.
For those seeking the ultimate golfing lifestyle, the resort is also home to a number of elegant and secluded real estate opportunities. 51 luxury villas with hotel services will also be built as part of the transformation project.
