Seed Golf has unveiled its fastest ever ball with the second-generation of the SD-X1, a golf ball specifically designed for the game’s big-hitters.
Optimised for a lower spin and ball flight, the new ‘Pro X1’ surpassed The R&A’s limits on speed during testing, forcing Seed to dial the ball back before it could be released.
Since the SD-X1 was launched, it has been a firm favourite particularly with low- to mid-handicap players with high swing speeds, many of whom receive monthly shipments thanks to Seed’s hugely successful subscription-based service.

Like all of Seed’s balls, the SD-X1 will not set golfers back as much as other premium brands; The Pro X1 is available now to order online from just £25 per dozen, so while your golf bag might be shedding weight throughout your round due to lost balls, at least your wallet won’t be.
“We want there to be a Seed ball that is the perfect fit for everyone, and that includes those players who work their way towards single figures or better,” said Seed founder and CEO Dean Klatt.
“With the new SD-X1 we feel we’ve found that formula and improved on the original – this is our answer to the Pro V1 in many ways.
“We’ve been receiving rave early reviews about the SD-X1, including from some influential YouTubers, so we’re very excited for our Seed family to experience this game-changing, boundary-pushing ballers’ ball.”
