La Cala Resort has completed the final phase of an extensive hotel renovation that elevates one of southern Spain's premier golf and wellness destinations to new heights of contemporary comfort.
Situated in the Sierra de Mijas with sweeping views across Andalusian countryside to the Mediterranean Sea, the resort's 107-room hotel now offers a seamlessly updated guest experience that honours its tranquil natural setting while meeting the expectations of today's discerning travellers. Following the completion of the first phase in early 2025, the recent renovation of the final 50 rooms means the entire hotel now meets the same elevated standard throughout.

The comprehensive refurbishment has transformed every aspect of the hotel experience. Guest rooms now feature enhanced comfort and modern conveniences, providing an ideal sanctuary whether visitors arrive for championship golf, spa retreats or Costa del Sol exploration. Public spaces have also been carefully redesigned to create intuitive flow and welcoming atmospheres that invite guests to linger and unwind. The renovation has also included enhancements to the Junior Suites, with improved layouts and a greater sense of space creating a lighter, more contemporary feel in keeping with the overall redesign.
"This renovation represents our commitment to matching world-class facilities with an exceptional stay experience," said Sean Corbet-Real, General Manager of La Cala Resort. "We've created spaces that feel both contemporary and timeless, allowing the natural beauty of our location to remain the star while ensuring our guests enjoy every modern comfort they expect. With the completion of this final phase, every guest now enjoys the same high standard, regardless of which room they stay in."
